So here’s one of my plates for Illustration class. We were supposed to illustrate a story book and I chose The Little Prince. (Very original. I really should pick another story for children illustrations. lol) We were required to color our plates using oil pastels without smudging. A lot of people weren’t crazy about it, but I found it fun to work with cray pas. When you work with traditional medium, there’s always natural texture to your work so it doesn’t look flat.
It was finals week by this time and the whole room was a mess. My working area was so windy that my plates were flying everywhere. The cereal box in the picture was one of my paper weights. :P
